A world record in the making

It’s Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology’s debut E Week and they are an excited lot. The college sports a festive air with a host of activities including a blood donation camp, short movie festival, and game and food stalls. The ice golas look especially inviting.

But a debut does not warranty baby steps at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. The college is attempting to break a world record in most people involved in making paper bags simultaneously. 300 students and faculty will try to make 3000 paper bags in less than 30 minutes. The current world record is held by 273 people for making 1357 paper bags in 30 minutes. They want to bring attention to the importance of avoiding plastics and encourage people to do their bit to prevent global warming. The world record is to be certified by Elite World Records UK Pvt. Ltd (London). Good luck to them!
