Invent the Future
Omar Hamoui, the founder of AdMob, wisely said ‘The largest entrepreneurial opportunities are found in ideas that go against the grain.’ This is especially true in context of the slowly eroding markets of developed countries. Solutions that worked once won’t any more. Do we still want to continue outsourcing to software conglomerates or start yet another restaurant?
Now is the time to look within, to work from the inside out. It means to resonate deeply with the world we inhabit – to understand its challenges and issues, and to want to solve them. It means to imagine a new world and to invent that future.
To chart this reactionary journey, E Week 2012 will focus on the opportunities which lie in addressing the challenges of our ailing world. The theme of ‘Invent the Future’ hopes to inspire all to take on the role of an intrepid entrepreneur and address the issues of water scarcity, garbage, traffic problems, power, pollution and more. Through a range of activities and programs, E Week India will engage the country’s young minds with entrepreneurship that can help them adapt with the changing world.
